Aviation Safety Management Systems is a Part 141 Certificated Aviation Training Organisation. We have specific approval to conduct flight crew training and assess operational competency for unmanned aircraft operations.

Heather advises clients on aviation certification, safety and compliance including hazard identification, risk assessment, development of risk management plans, and provides training and project management for implementation of those plans. Heather's experience in safety management systems includes auditing a wide range of safety management systems for the ACC Workplace Safety Management Practices programme. She has also led post-event investigation of incidents. Her wide range of experience provides an in-depth understanding of the range of hazards that might arise in the aviation industry.

Andrew is Chief Executive of ASMS' training organisation. He is an experienced consultant with over 20 years advising senior management, Boards, and regulators on strategic, economic and regulatory issues in a wide range of industries. He is experienced at deciphering legislation and regulatory rules and processes, and identifying risks within those processes. Andrew is currently undertaking a PhD in unmanned aircraft regulation.

Chris Jackson

Course Director: Flight Training and Flight Testing

Chris is a highly experienced UAS pilot, test pilot, trainer, examiner, and engineer. He is an expert pilot on fixed wing, multi-rotor, and single-rotor helicopter platforms.

Chris is the only independent individual to hold CAA "approved person" status for inspecting and approving the construction of UAS with a gross mass of more than 15kg.

Chris is also an all-round good guy and regular Movember participant.
